Art making began for me with the figure - with love for the classical drawings of Ingre and David and with the excitement of portraying the individual spirit.  After a move to the subtropics I took on the challenge of landscape - startled by the world around me.

My recent work explores relationships between technology and the natural world.  In this work I use symbols of our modern, everyday world and images of birds.  For me, birds' cohabitation of both earth and sky represents the human potential for reconciling the tensions between the fabricated and the natural, the physical and the spiritual.
